Has anyone used RV anti Freeze as a winter blend for Foam brush... ? At Walmart they have this for 2.50 per gallon I believe - It is environmentally friendly and seems to be a good cost alternative to use vs. straight methanol in 55's - How will it mix with soap for the brush? Any feedback on this?

RV Anti Freeze - 50 Vs. Methanol for Foam Brush Winter Purge

I wouldn’t use it, it’s made with propelyne glycol and it will freeze. When it does freeze it doesn’t expand as much as water will. I would also think the propelyne glycol would make a hell of a greasy mess on the cars. I would just use the methanol foam brush soap and install a changeover system so when the temperature gets down to below freezing the foam brush system does a purge and switches over to the methanol foam brush product.

RV antifreeze is not just water and propelyne glycol. It also has some inhibitors mixed in with it and some color. I do use it to make winter tire shine mixed with concentrated tire shine. I would stick with methanol mix for foam brush. We will get down to 10 degrees tomorrow night so time to start up the foam brush mix.
