RO question

The vertical pump on our RO machine has developed a leak. It looks like it would be a seal leaking between the electrical and mechanical portion of the pump. Anyone know big a deal it is to replace the seal?

Thanks

What kind of pump? who made the RO? is it make up pump or repress. pump to the bay?
If the pump and motor are bolted together with a long snout (teel pump type i will call it) there is just an o-ring generally there.
If the motor is connected to the pump with a coupler ( grundfoss type i will call it) ,then it generally requires a seal kit.

It is a Sta-Rite HP10E-02MS1. The pump and motor are connected by 4 allen bolts. I am assuming that this is what you are calling the teel pump type. I have attached a pic of the pump.

Thanks

White, thanks for the pic, as Randy said that one you will need to get a seal kit for.
Most kits come with fairly good directions. Should be a pretty easy fix.
