one of my 5co2120w cat pumps needs to be replaced. I was thinking about replacing it with another brand that might not be so expensive. I know that cheaper is not always better, but I thought maybe someone could tell me if they have had any luck switching brands. I have tried to rebuild them, but I never seem to do it right.

I've replaced a lot of Cat 5CPs and 310s with Arimitsu 516s. I think the Arimitsu is a better pump and also quieter. The 516 has more pumping capacity than the 5CP. They also have a 313 that is more comparable in capacity to the 5CP & 310. It is also less money. Both are drop in replacements, just be sure to order it as a Cat replacement so you will get the rails and pulley required to do the swap.

Why do you think you need to replace it? What's wrong with it? I've got Cat Pumps that are 27 years old and are still working fine.

If your manifold is washed out, the original has a lifetime warranty. If it's been replaced already there will be an "R" stamped on one of the three piston bumps just like there is a raised "W" on the middle one.
