Radiant Heater Repair

The long pipe on my radiant heater wore out in a spot and I need to put in a coupling and replace the last 1' or so where it goes into the main housing. I was thinking a coupling and 1' of 3" pipe. What material should I be looking for? Is there something specifically made for those?

I have used aluminum dryer vent sections held on with large hose clamps in the past to make a repair. You can double them up if needed.
