Quest H2Off

I know there are some operators using Quest chemicals on this forum - has anyone tried H2Off? It is a durable sealant. I’m using Total Shield Extreme after Shine On to get the “shine and seal” on the cars. Wondering if the H2Off would also do the trick after the Shine On.

H2OFF is not a new product, just a rebranding of standard total shield. It works well but technically total shield extreme would provide more protection at the same dilution. I'm actually switching back from TSE to H2OFF because I don't feel the need to protect the car for 30 days or more.

Thanks Greg. I’m thinking of doing the same thing ( didn’t realize it was a rebrand of TS regular butbthat makes sense). Just want to make sure I can get the same shiny finish as I get with TSE- but I agree - I don’t need 30 + days on the protection.

I might also go to regular Shine On instead of the Vantagloss version. Do you think There would be any noticeable drop in quality with that switch? I think you mentioned in an earlier post you have used both.

I gotta be honest, They all look so good it's hard to judge by the naked eye. The Vanta does indeed make very smooth service "hand waxed" feel, probably better than regular shine on.

I 100% agree w/ GeegPack.
H2off works good after I use regular Shine On. I also don't wanna give an entire mo of protection. H2off is also cheaper, as is Shine On, but yet both work grear. Shine On now has a new smell, which isn't as good as the old smell , though (& it's not as good). I feel like they did that on purpose, though, to try & get ownwrs to buys TSE.

Did you mean the regular shine on doesn’t smell as good so they buy the new shine on with Vantagloss?

I am trying Vanta as a SS tri color today and remember thinking how good it smelled. I will say that they change scents a LOT. Sometimes it's a stability problem in weather extremes. Often it's a change to freshen up a product line. They dropped my favorite foam brush recently (big apple), so I'm trying the berry scented. They are continually experimenting.

Isn't Shine On Vantagloss far too expensive tonuse as a SS triple foam?💰💰🤔

I got a batch of the blue vanta (berry scent) that would leave a yellowish ring wherever it was topped off in the container. Can’t say for sure but I think that may have been an issue with some easily removable smudges I was seeing on some surfaces of the cars - especially glass and chrome . I mixed it up regularly - it was not what I would call separation, but there was something t going on. Have you ever noticed that?

You can kind of see it in this photo

Haven't done the math, but I believe customers will notice the effects of this product and will make it worth it in the long run. A lot of local operators used colored soap for tricolor and then wonder why their tri foam sales suck.

I've had no separation issues of any kind, but I've only gone through a few containers of vanta gloss. Is it possible it was exposed to freezing temps? Jason will make it right if it is a product issue.

This was kept around 65 at all times. I know Jason will - I’m not 100% certain this is it yet - just checking it out. Thanks for the reply.
