I recently installed a new to me pump station with cat 310 pumps. There is no pulsation damper on this system. Opinions regarding the need? One side of pump outlet is regulator, hose to bay, the other side is pressure gauge. Can I install on pressure gauge side if needed? I do feel slight vibration in lines to bays and at gun.

I like to run thermoplastic hose to the bays, which is nylon reinforced and has some give to it which keeps the lines from vibrating and minimizes noise. I had to replace one of my overhead lines with Neptune 3000 steel braided hose, and that bay is really loud. Cat says to use them, but almost no one does. IMO they aren't necessary, especially with hoses that can flex.

If you decide to add them, it can go anywhere on the outlet plumbing. You might try a pulse hose, which is just a 2' piece of nylon braided high pressure hose with a 3/8" NPT on one end and capped on the other, only $20.
