I was shocked to see my propane price jump up to $2.027 per gallon on my current bill!!! The rep told me it was a supply and demand issue when I asked why it was so much higher than this time last Winter.

Seems more like a profit issue; they need more profits.

Also, propane is a derivative of natural gas and crude oil which are both up significantly in the past twelve months.

Propane in our area is $3.28 a gallon, but it is only used in rural areas as we are all on natural gas which has about *8% more heat than propane and we are currently at .70 a therm or 100k btu. about half of last years price.
