Presoak Show in IBA.....

I'm not getting much show when presoak is applied in our IBA. We have and older inverted L IBA. I do inject air on our presoak and we use Simoniz additive to help it bubble, and we use Kleenrite Powder KRWW50 for the presoak, but it just looks really watery with no show. The dilution is set correct, and I'm happy with the cleaning power, but does anyone have and tips/tricks to help get more bubbles when it is applied?

Have you checked your water quality? Don’t get too hung up on the look of presoak if you are happy with the cleaning. More air will draw less product, more foam additive may mess up you mixture. If it is cleaning well, it is covering well - and that is the most important thing. It might be as good as you can get it to look with a powder.

Are there any foam generators in this system? I’ve had poor performance on products and 9 times out of 10 it is an issue where the scrubber material in the foam generator is gummed up or had the water pressure push/compress the material.
Just experienced this with my ceramic coat. I was pulling my hair out trying to fix the solenoid, hydroflex, foot valve, etc. I spent a couple hours trying to diagnose the issue when I remembered to check the foamed. 10 minutes later it was fixed.

We tried to use the exact same presoak in our wash. Unfortunately we found that the show for it was generally very poor and would have to have the dilution stronger then the manufacturer recommended to get a desired show and cleaning power from it. We added Simoniz Foam additive to it as well. We found the inbay turbo powder a much better option, many people have used Simoniz Correct for a low cost option as well.

I used to use a mix of Simoniz correct powder and Simoniz foam additive in my old inbay automatic. Show was 'meh'. The cleaning power was pretty good and the cost per drum was really good but I had to dump so much product on that I was constantly mixing up new batches of soap and I really don't think I saved a whole lot of money looking back on it. I use a high-quality product I buy from my distributor now. It's called select plus. It works amazingly well and it's "set it and forget it". my distributor is Autowash Maintenance out of Malden Massachusetts. They are the best.

We have found that we are using a barrel of powder about twice as fast as when we were running liquid. Even with how much more we use it is still over half the cost of what we were spending on liquid high ph. Only reason we still run the powder is that we have someone on site all the time as we are a dealership so when it is slow or raining they mix up soap, so it has worked out great for us. We run liquid low Ph followed by powdered high ph. If we didn't have someone on staff during the day time we would most likely be running all liquid.
