Presoak on Foam gun tip size

for those of you with presoak in your foam gun, what size tip do you use?

I don’t have 3x foam on them, just presoak.

4040 tip was low volume and too “blobby”. 2507 tip isn’t bad, but a little watery. I’m thinking maybe a 4005 for wider fan and smaller particle or something to make a nice presoak sheet like the touchless does. Interested in what others use. Thanks

See if you can see this link. This is 60psi flojet (and 45-50psi air) with a 4040 tip and a homemade foam generator. Without the foam generator you would get a lot of splattering from the flojet. I have the mixture pretty strong to get it to foam good. Customers use a lot of it now. Feel free to leave a review :)

Looks beautiful! My pressures are about the same and I have a foam generator, but looks nothing like that. I’m also using Simoniz golden whitewall which I’m told should foam great.

My panel solenoid outlet in the motor room is 1/4” thought. Do I need A 3/8 supply line or larger to the bay? The bay I’m experimenting with is about 40’ of line from the panel.

Thanks! I have 1/4 inch nylon from the motor room to a foam generator above each bay; then 3/8 hose to the foam gun. Air and soap mix above the bay into the foam generator with a 1/4 inch cross. (I also have Kleen-Rite green tire cleaner going into the same foam generator that foams even better than presoak). Bay 6 has over 100 feet of 1/4 tubing and the performance is the same, but I mix right there at the bay through the foam generator. Dump some soap in your mix tank to get the concentration up, then try it.

We have almost the same setup other than the chemical. I’ll try bumping the concentration. Thank you very much!!

Is that presoak? If so, what chemical are you using?

Yes that is presoak. When this video was taken, this was KR purple passion at around 90:1 yellow tip, straight from the container. I also inherited some Summer Breeze which does the same. But today, I'm experimenting with a mix of the high pH hyper concentrate from KR, foam additive, and Summer Breeze. The look is similar to the video at 90:1 to get a medium foam. The cleaning power has improved greatly due to the hyper concentrate high pH. Once I work through the old KR stuff, I'll try correct powder or the KR fragrant presoak hyper concentrate to get some scent. I'm going by what I learned here; 1. Look good 2. smell good 3. work good, in that order.
