Pre Soak Mixing With High Pressure Rins Function

Have a cat pump 2120W that has pre soak and tirecleaner mixing at the pump. Both functions are fed through a solenoid, a Dema chemical injector that runs through a check valve, and a bypass/regulator. During the high pressure function presoak is mixing somewhere. I've changed the solenoid, check valve and injector with no luck. Any ideas? The pump sounds very rough while its running.

Here is what I've found that usually causes that. Your plumbing may be slightly different. What's happening is that when the low pressure functions are on, as it goes through the check valves located above the bay boom, it is going backwards through the high pressure line and back to the pump. It can do this only if there is a bad check valve by the pump. If your system has two sources for water, such as for hot and cold, there will be a check valve on the line that gravity feeds the pump. If that starts going bad it will allow the chemicals to come back through the pump. I've seen it maybe 5 or 6 times, and it really had me going the first time I ran into it.

Thank you. Would it still do this even with the Presoak mixing at the pump and not above the bay? During the presoak function the product runs trough the same hose from the pump to the bay as rinse.

The rough pump is probably unrelated to the problem.

Are you sure it's presoak? Could it be the soap solenoid stuck open?

No, it can't mix presoak with high-pressure if it comes together at the bay.

Problem is not likely a check valve.

The only reason I know it's presoak is by the color. It's purple. I'll post some picks of the pump set as soon as I can.

Check the new solenoid, might be defective or have a bit of debris in it. If you accidentally installed it backwards it may not stop flow.
