I keep getting damage to my Unitec POS 4000 due to lightning strikes. It is always either chip #51 or 52 that are damaged. These are the ones that connect to the register at the gas station. It is easy to fix but gets expensive each time having to purchase the POS repair kit from Unitec. This repair kit has a bunch of other chips that I never need. Has anyone else found another source for these chips? It is just a 16 pronged chip and does not have any special programming per Unitec.
I have tried different surge suppressors for lightning but never much luck.
