Please wait!!! Carwash busy

This has happened a couple of times in the past 2 weeks. I have Hamilton ACW4 and LW4000 setup. A car is washing and the next customer pulls up and makes their transaction. No problem until the car leaves and it's time to arm the waiting customer's wash. ACW continues to say carwash busy, but the wash has completed it's startup test and ready to go for the waiting customer. This only happens when there is a car washing and one waiting...from what I can tell.

I believe that it is the one all the way to the right. It will be the only 24v relay up there. As far as part # the one I have in front of me is a
Ormon #MK2PN-S

Now this is for a ACW4

Is the second car pulling in before the wash is ready for them? That's a problem we've had with our Autec machine. It takes it a few seconds to reset for the second customer, and they pull in before the green light comes on.

That is typically a problem if someone can't wait the 15 or so seconds before the CC is finished being processed and tells them to drive ahead. The transaction is already in que in this case and it arms pretty quickly when working correctly.

Is this the right part? http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/items/1YDK2

This used to happen to me all the time when I had a ACW4. My problem occured when the car waiting would push and hold the wash selction button at the same time the signal from the wash was being sent signalling it was ready for another wash. Selecting the wash at the same time canceled out the incoming signal and the ACW thought the wash was still busy. Try changing the amount of time the signal is sent for both on the ACW and your wash computer.

I had the same problem when I installed my Hamilton ACW. The problem was in the software. I can't remember off the top of my head, and I don't have my manual with me, but it is under the stacking washes section. You might take a look there and make sure it is configured to stack washes. If you give hamillton a call they can tell you what your settings should be.(800) 837-5561

Good luck.

I'm not sure what RTP's problem is, but the "car wash busy" and "car wash in use" messages mean two totally different things. I went through this some time back (car wash busy, that is) and I think it was with the cycle inhibit, but I don't remember for sure what we did to fix it.

BTW Randy, who was the rocket scientist at Hamilton that put two nearly identical messages in the controller to mean two different things? I'm assuming his name wasn't Einstein? :D
