Been Kind of slow so I figured I'd post links to videos of one of my places.

The first video has an Erie Foam lower detail brush - the Blue one in the Lower right hand corner I am trying out (the New), and further down the tunnel are the "Hodge Wraps", and then a 4 brush "Slant Brush" unit both probably have not been manufactured for 30 years, and have been in operation at this location.

The last 2 videos are more of the Slant brush showing how it does the backs of cars and vans.

Thanks for posting, Earl. Looks like a nice operation you've got going there. Is the four brush slant module polypropylene brush?

Stupid question probably, but were the "hodge" wraps made by a company called hodge, or is that the model of the wrap made by slant or some other company?

It certainly proves you don't need the newest equipment to effectively wash cars.

It certainly proves you don't need the newest equipment to effectively wash cars.

This wash is basicaly all filament. Whether it is properly called polypropylene or not i could not say. It is all supplied by Erie brush. I am working on testing some stuff with Erie including foam tire andwheel brush and this roccker panel brush as well as a "Sine Wave tire and Wheel brush"

Mr. Hodge designed numerous pieces of car wahs equipment. I believe he manufactured them as well. LAst I heard he was involved in the Car Wash Express loctons in the Denver area and had designed equipment for them.

These were actualy made for "piggy Bck' units but they were a PITA and not needed with the slant unit in place.

Great videos Earl. I especially enjoyed the walk through the entire tunnel. With some washes equipment layout looking rather generic these days, your tunnel has a very unique look to it - largely due to those wraps and the Slant equipment.

Any significant advantage to either style of wheel brush?

The variations in the length of the filament seems to allow the sine wave to follow wheel contours better. Nothing gets into nooks and crannies except HP.
