Oil & Vinegar

I spilled gas in the back of my car on the carpet. I washed the heck out of it and it still smelled like a refinery. I read that vinegar would remove the smell. I did, but now the new smell is like salad dressing.

Throw in a few "peachy peach" air fresheners and I can barely take it anymore.

Advice?

You need Ozone. Find a detailer that uses an ozone generator, or see if you can rent one yourself from a tool rental.

Its more than likely gotten down into the pad under the carpet.....
