nail polish on seat

Acetone/propanone will dissolve nail polish. As far as I know it won't harm the cloth, but it might damage the foam inside the seat, so only use a little bit so that it doesn't soak through.

The proper approach to finding a solution to the problem is this:

a. Determine the makeup of the nail polish (paint) you are dealing with. What will break it down

b. Determine for certain the nature of the upholstery, vinyl, leather and if fabric, whether nylon, polyester, etc.
Then determine if the material that will breakdown the nail polish will, in fact, harm the material.

We cannot give you advise unless we know at least the material the seat is made from.
