The new issue of KleenRite's "Kleen Scene" features Cloister Carwashes new motorcycle wash.
I thought this was a very interesting idea and wondered if anyone has built their own or perhaps installed a lift setup in an SS bay to create a 'motorcycle wash'.
We used to service a Harley shop that has a motor cycle wash. I think it is a Belanger installed by our company before I was hired and we became a Ryko dist.
I must admit that I have not yet read the article.
In upstate NY, the motorcycle season runs from mid May through Mid October. We get our share of bikes in the bays, but they spend more time detailing and drying off their machines, then they do dropping coins in the SS box.
As far as a lift is concerned, I would be concerned about any liability associated with a bike falling off on it's owner or someone else, while at my wash location. Sounds like a legal nightmare!
I spoke to a few riders about this option and most wouldn't want to lift their bikes up. But one thing the bikes love is the air-shammee...good margins on that one.
