I was looking at J-Ko Company Matt Beater for my self-service car wash and was wondering if anyone has added one of these or something similar to your washes. Has it been profitable? What kind of revenue could I expect to realistically get out of it? Thanks.

I've got the BBX at one of my washes, but it is a free service at my wash. Customers love it. I hope it improves customer loyalty but I have no way to prove it.

I made an a-frame thing with 2 mat clips per side.; I attached a nice, stiff carpet brush with a chain to each side.

Customers love it. However they still beat mats on the building. Go figure.

I have a Dralco Rugbeater which for every $500 in vacuuming, does about $40. I have seen them used as a freebie for vacuumers and autowash users. Always popular when it's free! Does a really good job on sand, bindi, grass, hair etc etc; most of the stuff that vacuuming struggles with and some muscle is needed.
