I saw these at a mall on a pop vending machine. Is anyone using them? How does the pulse work? Who are the qualified merchants? Does it use a wireless modem like the e-port?

The only ones I've found so far are MDB, so they won't work with any count-up systems. They can be used wirelessly and processing that way is almost immediate. It would be great for vacuums.

Did you read anything about the merchants? I wonder how much they cost? Probably the better part of $1,000 I would think.

I don't know on the merchants, but I was told the units are around $800 each including the wireless hardware. The fees are ridiculously low, something like $10 a month per unit plus a flat percentage, and no transaction fee. A local guy is leasing space at his wash to an ice machine which has this, and he got the info from the lessee.

I wish Randy was still around. The most knowledgable person on the forum for this type of thing. Sadly we haven't heard from him in a while. Now we can all just listen to speculation instead of getting the facts.

Coinco has these too but cheaper. The only models I saw on their website are MDB. It was dissapointing how little information they had about how the system works.
