Maintenance and repair help

Hi Guys,

I am in the Northern Virginia and new owner of Self Serve Wash.I need to do a lot of Maintenance and Upgrades.Distributors are really expensive on labor.Any one know any other options for any company other than the distributors in Virginia Area.

Thanks

Dont know how handy you are but the best thing you can do is roll up your sleeves and grab some wrenches and start figuring out. A lot of issues are discussed here so you can always use this as your library or post your problems when you reach a dead end. In 2014 I was in your shoes with 5+1 that only 1 bay worked. I took 2 weeks off my 9 to 5 and fixed almost everything....looking back best move I made learned how the place worked. If you do find a freelance car wash tech I would stick to his hip and ask questions. Good luck and congrats!

I agree. Roll your sleeves up and get after it. Start with your bays 1st and pumps/regulator. Get them and all functions working. You will learn alot by DIY. Need help just post on forum your issue and i guarantee someone will reply. There is alot of knowledge on this forum and beats having to pay $$$out pocket.

SS Car wash repair techs seem to be harder and harder to find. A good tech could make pretty good money. I couldn't imagine a labor rate much less than $75/hr for most areas of the Country. So yes, a SS owner can incorrectly. throw a lot of parts at a problem and still be $$ ahead.
