I have Magic Wand Nexus built in May 2005. I have had several power failures and as a result the eprom chip loses all data. I have a TWIDO CPU and I suspect that the battery backup is dead. However, I cannot find any information about replacing the battery in my manual. I replaced the eprom and thought that I solved the problem. I reprogrammed the eprom and shut off power to the unit several times. The data was not lost, so problem solved. Not so. We had an electrical storm and lost power for about 10 minutes and lost the data. I installed both high and low voltage suppressor at the CB panel last August. I'll call Magic Wand after the Holiday for more information. I thought CPU'S had a batter backup in case of power failures. Perhaps Bill Pitzer may know the answer with his familiarities of CPU's. Any ideas out there?

Usually, a PLC does have a battery, and they do wear out. I assume Mac, can help, he works on them all of the time.
