Love bug help

Does anyone know of a proven product thta can be applied through a rinse arch that will leave a real protection against the love bug guts? The females with eggs have a strong acid content and if the splattering in on for a day or more in the FL sun, you got paint damage. Again this needs to be applied through an arch on a clean and mostly wet car. Any thoughts appreciated.

Mac,

Foam polish (siliconized soap) and spray waxes (oil-based or synthetic) may bead water for a week or two but offer no real protection from LB stains. Total body protection is more durable but my experience with it has shown it also provides little protection from LB’s, bird droppings, water spotting from lawn sprinklers, etc.

I have used many things to protect my motorcycle from LB splatter in Florida including lemon pledge furniture polish (spray can), hand wax and paint sealant. The sealant held up the best.

Unfortunately, you cannot apply any of these things with an arch.

Since LB’s rear their head twice a year for several weeks, I believe a paint sealant service with a warranty program would be sellable in such areas.
