License plate capture camera

I have a survailance system set up already, but need to find a camera that will capture license plates.

I have an area where the vehicle enter the parking lot, and can have the camera capture the front or rear of the vehicle, I would like to do this with out breaking the bank, if that is at all possible.

My distance from camera to vehicle will very on if I am viewing from front or rear.

Please give me some ideas.
