I have some older Erie 3 way diverter valves that control the flow of either hot or cold water to the hi pressure pumps (rinse, wash, & wax) that are starting to leak where the shaft comes through the valve body to connect to the actuator motor. I need to replace these and wonder if there was a better alternative such as 3 way solenoid valves or motorized ball valves, etc. Thanks in advance for your help.

You would have to check on your flow requirements but when a mechanical engineer friend over 10 years ago steered us towards Stainless Steel Belimo 3 way mixing &/or diverting valves ... it was one of the best moves that we made.

Are you set on replacing them with something different? I use them and like them pretty well. You can replace just the valve if your motor/actuator is still good. The valves are only about $30 ea. at www.supplyhouse.com. That's where I bought the Erie valves when I redesigned my pump stand.
I might add, I use them on a gravity fed pump stand. I have an OLD Mark VII stand and changing the Erie’s out was virtually impossible. Now after the redesign, I can change one out in no time. The originals were about 30 years old…None of them worked, but they didn’t leak... The new ones have been installed for over a year and have not had any issues. I guess if you had a city pressure fed pump stand, it may have a different effect on the valves.
