Laurel Vender Retrofit

I'd like to start converting my "green board" (small digital display) venders to the "blue board" for CryptoTap to start selling some of the $5 & up vend kits.
Understanding KR recommends the full retrofit kit to do this, I was wondering if anybody has just replaced the door and notched the security frame out for the display.
It seems I can do this for $394 instead of $1050 for each vender. What am I missing?

Retrofit kit: $1050

Door: $100
Blue board: $294.10
Blue Board cover: $8.57
Notching security frame in shop: $0

Total: $402.67

Edit: *sigh* I missed where they provide the $510 CryptoTap but that's still $137.33 to notch a security frame.

Good that you picked up the big dollar difference, Tap unit does add a lot.
Curious how you would cut out the notch in the security frame, that is not a simple task since it is 12 gauge stainless. I think you would want it cleanly cut since that area is where every customer is looking at, here is how it looks when we use a punch press to do it:
