Laser light wash

That's cool!! I can't believe you only get $8 bucks for that. That would bring $15 or $18 in my area. Can you say what the total upgrade cost was?

It cost me about $3500 to do i did it all my self its all dmx control just needed a little electrical help if they dont buy that wash i have the flood lights in the bay that stay on so its not dark. I have a big oil down the road that does 2 washes for $12 so i matched him all winter so this let me go up $2 but still would like to get up to $10 by thye winter

Another Upgrade idea.

How about doubling the price and having a couple dancers come out and start cleaning your ....well you get the picture.

Very creative, definately makes people remember your wash.

That's just GREAT! I'd love to do this myself. Do you have a list of what you've used? How is it with laser / water? Is it all in a waterproof housing?

Laser Lights

If anyone decides to do this themselves I can forward some suppliers of lasers that I have used to purchase weapon lasers in the past and they were substatially cheaper than what I could find here.

I would love to do this in my Ryko IBA but I have 2 large openings (about 20' X20') on the side that face toward a busy road. My guess is the city would be on me like Anthony Weiner on Twitter.

I would love to get some info. I sent you a private message. Thank you in advance. Cheers Justclean

I know this is a very old thread, but I'm curious if are any of you guys still doing a light show. The video at the start of this thread no longer works, but I've seen some great video of Happy Cow and have been thinking of doing something similar -- although probably without the projector due moisture/heat concerns. I'm trying to figure out how to keep some moving lights relatively dry in there, too.

Hard to say whether this is really a trend or a fad. Customers aren't buying the wash but the results of the wash - a clean, dry vehicle. Whether a show like this would simply enhance the experience or increase revenue remains to be seen. Unless it can be proven that a show like this increases profitability I doubt many operators would go for the extra expense.

Trend or Fad? Quality Look or Too Gimmicky In Your Opinion?

I've been wondering the same thing about this - trend or fad? My thoughts are that the "show" is more for the carwash owner & the car that's waiting next-in-line versus the car that's underneath, getting the LED lava foam since they can't see so much the "show"? I also personally think the LED always-on glow looks quite cool but the flashing LEDs tend to look kind of too gimmicky and like some college dance club scene possibly not meshing so well w/ some of our professional-look desires for a facility or am I too uptight? :D LOL! Would be interested to hear if anyone has added a lava foam w/ LED to their in-bay automatic and if they've had excellent customer reaction and attraction to it OR whether the return has not been as great as expected?
