Kondor KL2 Keeps blowing Fuse

Car Wash Man

Today I had a GFCI Fault on our Kondor which I thought was no big deal. I reset the GFCI and wash, ran a wash through and now the HP Rinse wont switch from drivers side to passenger side correctly. When it is supposed to switch HP Rinse to passenger side it does a medium rinse on both sides instead. I Replaced the fuse for the Drivers side off switch in our wash room. Worked for one wash and then faulted out again and blew another fuse. Any Ideas?

Is there a solenoid involved in the switch from one side to the other ? Is it stuck and causing your fault?

Yes there is but I don't think that has anything to do with the problem as when I replace the fuse everything works properly and I can manually switch it from one side to the other and hear the solenoid opening and closing with no issues at all, but when I run a wash it blows the fuse.

You obviously have a short in the circuit. That is why the fuse is blowing obviously it's your protection. The difference of doing it when the machine is standing still and the machine is moving is when the machine is moving cables are moving you need to visually start checking all your cables as a starting point. It still could be the solenoid itself. Disconnect the solenoid and run the machine with it disconnected see if the fuse still blows.

I should have updated everyone, I was able to get it all fixed yesterday and we are up and running great again. The power cord that goes to the solenoid block rubbed up against an area in the carriage and wore through the insulator and part of one of the four wires. Got the wire repaired and waterproofed and everything is up and running how it should be now.
