Issue with Slugbuster II Model PEM 55E - Coins keep getting stuck

I have been struggling with a couple of Slugbuster II Model PEM 55E. For some reason, the coins keep getting stuck and I cant tell why. Once I open it up, I am able to get them to release without any issue and then run several coins and they go through fine. This is now becoming a every 2-3 day jam. I made a video of it from the last time. Can anyone think of why it might be doing this?

Try Cleaning it with some alcohol, open the acceptance up a little bit. I wipe mine down inside with pledge furniture polish, makes them very slippery. If that doesn't help call Parker Engineering at 800-752-0762 or 616-784-6500. Your video isn't very helpful.

The coins might not be making their way out of the acceptor and into the tube for the safe. I usually have to cut a little off the bottom or I'll have consistent jams.

When we had similar issue with some Slugbuster 3s the issue was traced to the clip that holds the chute closed. It has too much play and allowed customers to jam coins inside the chute. As a result we will have 5 (new) Slugbuster 3s available for sale after we get new meter boxes installed.

There's a little gap that's just big enough to fit the cable tie through. I leave it loose enough that I can lift it off and open it to clear a jam. You want to be careful and not let it lay against the armature. If the cable tie is too tight it will pull itself under the solenoid bracket and trap the armature closed.

Thank you @MEP001 So after them being stuck back to back, it has been about a week and things are OK now. I have been monitoring the bay and so far so good. I did get a couple slugbusters on hand so if this happens again, I was going to replace them.

Between, does any one know where to get some torx screws for mouting the slugbuster on the door? It looks like I lost a few but cant seem to find them anywhere.

Have you looked on Ebay? We use a 6/32” x 3/8” stainless steel button head socket cap screw with a stainless steel nylon insert lock nut on the back side. We haven't lost any yet.

I use 6-32 (That's #6 size, 32 threads per inch, not 6/32") 1/2" length. I usually get stainless hardware from Bolt Depot but they don't have the hex head.
