Just going to send some notes out to help facilitate the install of the CPU and credit card reader. Unitec missed some important steps in the process.
* Important- printout every report you can just prior to install , including system configuration, accounting report, fleet account report, and pager numbers
* Don't forget to remove the audio module from the old board and re-mount it on the new one.
* For drilling out the holes for the new credit card reader, a 1/4" drill bit was not quite large enough. I used a 9/32" unibit and had them drilled out in just a couple of minutes.
* There is a rainshield included that is not addressed in the instructions. The beveled side goes "up"
* Once the unit is powered back up the easiest thing to do is to print another configuration report off the new CPU and compare to the old report, line by line. Mark needed changes with a highlighter pen. Be sure and check relay outputs. Mine were different than a stock configuration , and it took me half an hour to figure out what the problem was.
First unit took almost two hours to install, but with the shortcuts and experience gained on the first one the second took just a little over an hour, including adding a little fleet information.
Hope this helps
