In bay trough questions?

Hi All,

Renovating an out of service self serve car wash and the pump room has this additional bay that doesn’t appear to have any equipment in. It has a trough at the end of the garage and dumps to an exterior water debris in ground separator. The trough is very shallow. What would this bay have been used for? See the picture included.

It's possible it was an automatic bay at one time, but it's impossible to see if there are mounting points still in the floor. Could have been a detail bay or even an emissions inspection station.
