IDX MA-800, which position for $ and quarter?

I have an acceptor that has lost its memory on a couple of coins. I want to program it again and would like to put the dollar and quarter back in the same spot as they originally were, to be consistent with the other acceptors. I can't find anything in the instructions telling which position they were on. Anyone know?

For Laurel vending machines quarters are in position 6 and dollar coins in 5.

I keep an instruction sheet where I've written down where each coin is programmed, but only so I can add or de-learn one if I need to. I'm pretty sure straight from IDX it's quarters in position 2 and $1 coins in #3. If you want to be sure though, either call IDX or un-learn all positions and use your own order.

I'm pretty sure this is correct. Slot 1 is only used for the "reject coin" teach.

Chip is right. MA-800's and X-10's coin acceptors are programmed from the factory, Position #5 is for Dollar Coins and Position #6 is for Quarters. I put a sticker on the side cover of my MA-800 coin acceptors indicating which position is for which coin or token.

Wow that's news to me I have for 14 years programmed my MA-800's on Position #1 and #2 for Quarters and #3 and #4 for Dollar coins or does it matter?

Why would you program the same coin in two positions?

If one position failed the other would be a backup.
