I Goggled Hylomar, very interesting! My question is after years in an assembly, like in the valves seals of a high presser car wash pump, when you replace the worn out valves is it still pliable and can you wipe it out with a cloth and start over?

Yes, it never hardens, but usually by the time you need to service the valves it's mostly washed away. Depends on how much you use, but I just find traces remaining.
