Hubbell Light

One of my 400W Hubbell wall packs is making a loud buzzing sound when it's on. It comes on OK, and the light is steady. Replaced the bulb with a new one, but no change. Ideas?? Thanks.

The only things left are the capacitor and transformer. Order a kit from 1000 bulbs and try the capacitor first. If that doesn't work, put the transformer in too and your light will work. The whole kit will cost about 60 bucks. You need to have these parts on hand anyway since you can swap out all of the parts cheaper than you can get an electrician on the lot.

You might be able to find a capacitor kit locally at a better price than the one from 1000bulbs.com plus shipping, but I've had better luck with the Sola kits from them than the Advance brand from Grainger.

There's probably nothing to worry about from the buzzing, but I'd fix it too. It's not worth 60 bucks if the noise is annoying your customers.
