Heated fooring for winter months

I am looking at purchasing an old 6 bay SS and it dose not have any heated flooring in the bays. In my area (central Virginia) we do get snow and ice issues that will give me additional trouble keeping the bays free of ice and snow. Does anyone have any ideals or is there any easy anyways to heating the floors without breaking up the concreat? The current owner says all he does is spread salt.... I just don't think that is enough.

Thanks

Others have poured a new 2" floor with the heat in it and some rebar, which will solve your problem without a lot of expense.

how much snow and ice?
how often and for how long?
median temps?

Floor heat is expensive, spreading "salt" and the occasional shut-down might be a lot more profitable. Or maybe not... just sayin, I'd run some numbers.
