Heads Up Car wash industry...

Anyone up for interesting reading?? Know anyone building a carwash? If so, take a few minutes, do yourself a favor or maybe even a friend...go to www.missouricasenet.com and search for Paul and or Jan (Janet) Faix.....WOW.... look at that list!?!?

On a more personal note: Mr Paul & Mrs Faix, let's hear that smoooooth sales pitch now when you talk about these FACTS.... oops! Looks like you have never really been the victim, have you?

Still waiting for you to return my money.
Sincerely, Fritz's Auto Spa

It was brought to my attention that the missouricasenet.com website requires payment. I apologize, the printed out PAGES were actually faxed to me so I was unaware that there were fees associated with a criminal background check. Public information should be free however it appears it is not. I have had requests to see this information so I will try to locate a site that allows free viewing to reports like these. After all, it is public information.
Thanks for the replies. Fritz

casenet

missouricasenet.com is a pay site, but go to "case.net" (just google casenet) it gives all missouri court info for free....wow, those suckers have been up to a lot of trouble!

I went to the site and saw many cases involving this guy, but there was no info on what actually was going on. Would you give us a short description of what this person did, what his company name was, and also very important, whose equipment was he selling? If possible, post a picture of him. These guys usually turn up in Florida where I'm at. Thanks for the heads up.

Knight Equipment Company is the name of his company; and I have heard he is already doing business in Florida. His name is Paul Faix. He has sold me equipment from PECO, ICS and Jim Coleman Company as well as the Glass Lighthouse Beacon Buildings.
It is my understanding that he is no longer the distributor for PECO however I am unable to verify this at the current time.... if anyone else can verify it, that would be good information to know.
As for the long laundry list for Paul and his wife, Janet...at this time, I would rather not personally comment on the fine details of each action. I thought by mentioning it, and allowing others to do the same research, this information would not just be coming from me alone. I will say that they owe me in excess of $60,000 so that might give you an idea of how they operate. Be aware before doing business with them!!!!

I guess maybe a little more information is ok.... I posted the original heads up a few months ago. I have been busy lately and have not spent much time on the forum. But in case you are unaware, you can view all posts from us (Fritz's Auto Spa) to see a little more. Basically Paul Faix was paid by me up front for tunnel equipment, building and ICS computer systems...months went by waiting for all installation to take place only to be told by the manufacturers that we would not receive equipment until paying AGAIN.... of course Knight Equipment claims that they just don't have our money and cannot offer any information as to where they spent it... and they still currently owe me in excess of $60,000. And 9 times out of 10 he doesn't answer his phone... but if $60,000 isn't anything to worry about then maybe he should give me my 60K plus another 60K and see how comfortable he sleeps at night.

It still amazes me that there are so many jerks like this guy selling car wash equipment. Right now, this site is still the only place where you can get a heads up on these people. What we really need is a site where enforcement and collections can be obtained. It might need to be offshore for legal reasons. But man, I would sure like to see these people trying to walk after some batting practice with my old Louisville slugger. If you can get a picture of this guy it would help a lot.

Head sup

Thanks for the head sup. There will always be guy's like this out there. After reading your posts, I came to the conclusion that paying someone up front that kind of money is not a sound business practice. But when business relationships are decades old, its not as critical. Maybe we need to post some obvious red flags that will give us a warning of unscrupulous people out there. When I have purchased big ticket items from dealers I have known for years, the common practice is a % deposit then the rest after installation or it has been received.

All of the large carwash equipment purchases I have made have required a % down payment with the order. What are options to get around this? Escrow account? Seem like a catch 22 - you can't get the equipment without a down payment, and you don't want to give up the money without the equipment. I guess we've been lucky!
