Hamilton Change machine hopper breakdown

I have a hamilton change machine with the change hopper 11-0100 HSH version. When you put money in the machine the motor on the change machine just runs but the hopper won't emit coins, and then it throws an error. I would assume the gears are shot inside the little gear box on the hopper. Kleen-Rite has a replacement hopper motor housing with base, motor hub, quarter wheel etc for $207. I would assume this would cure what's ailing the machine. Anyone else have any experience with this issue? Thanks in advance.

You've got a bad Hopper motor, #11-0096B $139.00 list. How old is the Hopper? When you replace the motor your going to need a long 3/32" allen wrench to loosen the set screw on the motor shaft to get the hub of. While your at it you might as well replace the Hopper bowl assembly #11-0017A $67.00 list and replace the payout switch #100-0151 $44.43 list. I can do these in my sleep. I've done probably a thousand over the years.

Thanks for the info Randy. It's 12 years old. I'll get to work on the parts.
