Griot's Pipe Wrench

These work on the same principle as the basin wrench,,,they put more pressure on the walls by using a crushing grip and can damage easier than a standard pipe wrench,,,,nothing like the old RIDGID,..

It's a little easier to use in a confined area because it's self-adjusting, but for everyday use they don't last. I've seen them before in a car wash toolbox, and as robtl said, they're no replacement for a good old-fashioned Ridgid pipe wrench.

It seems a little overpriced at 35 plus shipping. And besides, Rigid has a better calander.

Last week a friend came by our camp to help with some frozen line repair--the second day he brought his brand new self adjusting pipe wrench--after several failed attempts I saw the wrench flying out into the yard. Fortunately he only paid $20 at lowes instead 40. Does this mean he lost or saved $20

The flying wrench means he lost $20.

Anyone: Please send a copy of the rigid calendar to me! Thank you.
