Going Postal Over Google

Put my washes with cell phone number on Google local Business.

So, I get a call (actually many) Like this.

What time are you open till?

Which location are you calling about, I have 4 and this is the main office number?

The one on Broadway.

I'm open until 8:30pm.

Are you full service? Do you do packages?

You pay at the entrance for an exterior wash and I have packages with Wax, undercarriage, Waxws, Tire Shine and Rain X. I also have a menu of addittional services like Hand dry, Vacuum, Mats interior windws and vacuum.

Whaaaaaaaa? Isn't this the Post office?

Seems if you do a Google search for the post office in my area my info shows up as a second entry but no one reads the heading.

Got lots of calls around Xmas time from people asking about their packages. Had to exercise great restraint when responding.

My home phone number has the same last four digits as the local grocery store about 1/2 down the road. The first three numbers designate the CO switching station from the phone company. The grocery store is actually in a different small town, but most people think it's in the same town as our house, so instead of looking up the number, they somehow remember the last four and just add the first three which they know to be the same as the town they think the grocery store is in.

We get calls all day asking about whats on special. Every now and then I tell the person if they ask how much is the American cheese today, 50 cents a pound....wow I will be right down!!;)
