One of the scents on my Fragramatics combo unit seems to be losing its prime overnight. It will take over a $$ cycle before it starts spraying. The other two scents seems to work fine. Any ideas?
There must be an air leak. You'll have to see how far the loss of prime goes. While it's running on that fragrance you should be able to see air and liquid in that tube instead of solid liquid. The most likely place is the fitting or a crack in the tubing at the outlet of the solenoid.
One of the things that has always made no sense to me is why the pickup hoses in the scent containers don't have a little foot valve on them. We put them on all the bigger chemical containers, but not these. Seems like that would stop a lot of this.
Stop a lot of what? The only way the line could lose prime due to a lack of a foot valve would be if the gun was hung way above the jug and the solenoid was stuck open, unless someone blocks the sprayer with it running. If that happens the pressure from the compressor (Easily over 100 PSI) would just blow the foot valves off. The reason they're on chemical pickup hoses like Hydrominders is to keep the line full otherwise gravity would let it drain back into the pail, and having it fill each time would affect the dilution. As long as there's no leak, there's no reason the fragrance line would lose prime.
