They reportedly posted a $45 Billion profit for 2008! Their 4th qtr. earnings were below projections, but demand weakened as people started conserving.

Too bad there still isn't much $ in gasoline sales. At least that's what gas station owners say.

I actually don't have a problem with them posting profits like that. I wish I was in an industry where posting profits like that were possible. I'm not saying that I like gas prices jumping all over the place, but it is what it is.

Every wonder why the gov't does not post the amount they make on the same product that companies like Exon does????

No they're not, yet some Libs want to Nationalize them too. Nationalize them if they're failing, Nationlize them when they make "obscene" profits. Soon you will have a goverment established profit margin that you must not exceed. Let's just get it over with, let the government nationalize all businesesses "for the good of the people." Lord knows it has worked so well in the past.
