Electric rates/ provider quotes

Since we are supposed to have power choice now, has anyone actually shopped out their power needs, and changed? If so, what has been the experience. I assume you would receive two bills: one from the supplier, and one from the transmission provider. I have received a few postcards touting lower rates then my existing provider. But I am very leary of pursuing this. Anyone elses experience in this would be interesting to the forum I think.

I have changed a couple of times to get lower rates. There is no difference in service. In Houston, there are many to choose from, but Center Point still provides and maintains the lines, so it doesn't matter who you use as a provider, the service is the same.
