E Chain attachment

The other day our tandem e chain slide off and caught and the only thing that broke is where it attaches to the bracket on the bridge. I actually have a spare plastic end piece but that seems to be the only part of the e chain that doesn't come apart. Id have to disconnect every hose and wire and fish it through. Has anyone else had this happen and does anyone have a creative solution to not have to take every hose and wire out of the bridge?
