Door Air Cylinder leak&general info please~

Hi conveyor carwashers! Waxman here requesting help for a fellow operator who isn't on this forum.

Her dilemma is air leaks on the allenair A2 x 48 #15 air cylinders that operate her tunnel doors. On one, they replaced O-rings and it still leaks. A tech she knows didn't work on the cylinder but asked if the o-rings were treated w/o-ring grease prior to installation. She doesn't know but guesses they were not greased prior to installation into the cylinder.

The other cylinder is so corroded they couldn't get it apart.

I looked in Sonny's and couldn't find the part, specifically.

I'd really appreciate some help from those w/experience in this problem. I'd guess it's pretty common for air powered carwash doors. Thanks in advance!

We use the Airlift brand and am not sure how comparable they are to the Allen Aire cylinders, but where are the leaks coming from specifically? At the base, top, cylinder itself and how old are they? There have been big advances in pneumatic door openers in the past couple years. May be worth replacing them if they are located where it is cold and they have a high traffic volume.
