Dog Wash Solenoid question

I am going to be installing my self serve dog wash shortly and I ordered a 6 block solenoid for dispensing shampoo etc... It occured to me that I will be pulling directly from 1 gallon containers without the aid of a hydro minder with all their wonderful colored tips.

Do I need a metered solenoid?

I am not sure if a hydro minder tip inserted into the pick up line in the shampoo bottle would work the same. Something tells me I am wishing upon a star for that simple of a solution.

Thanks in advance.

I just opened a 3 bay and used Hydraflex's solenoids. www.hydraflexinc.com They control the volume of water (adjustable) and have all the pretty colored tips for chemical mixing. I have pretty high "city" water pressure and I just installed a regulator ahead of it and set it to 50psi. So far so good. They supplied me with a six bank manifold with a gauge. They also provide a single cable for simple wiring.

Buck,

Yes you need metered solenoids. Pet wash chems are expensive...you don't want to waste it unnecessarily.
