Dema 453S Valve

My D & S Quicksilver uses Dema 453s valves to control the chemicals. I frequently have problems such as valve not closing or inconsistent volume of product. My distributor suggests replacing the valve ($65-70) when problems occur or else I will just continue to fight the problems. I seldom notice any deterioration of any parts when I disassemble the valve. Could I resolve the issues replacing parts? If so, which parts? What do you guys who use these valves do?

You could try a kit instead of replacing the whole valve, but in my experience when they start sticking it's only going to get worse over time until you replace it.
