Dayton Wash down motor source?

Waxman

Super Moderator
I've got to replace a 3/4 hp Dayton TENV Washdown motor that runs my IBA trolley in and out. Maybe the gear reducer too. Not sure yet.

Do all you experienced operators just use Grainger or is there a better place you like?

Thanks!

Baldor and Leeson are both better and cheaper than Dayton. I bought a Baldor compressor motor on an eBay store for about half what Grainger wanted, even got free shipping.

Ditto eBay for the gear reducer's. I quit paying $400 at Grainger, and now get new old stock reducers for around $100. You'll need to know the reduction rate, output shaft side/diameter. Make sure to use a compatible mounting...usually 56C.
