i have a DS 5000 auto car wash. The flow jet pump for the wash soap is running continuously and backing up into the rinse tank causing it to overflow.
I lost 15 gallons of low ph because the pump ran all night. Anybody have any
ideas why?
Hmmmm....you must have a different set of than me...your units are probably newer than mine. I dont have flowjets that pump soap. In fact I disabled the two step because I never could tell any difference in the wash quality so now I just do a double pass of the presoak and it works fine...have a teel pump that activates on signal to push presoak out to the bay. So...that said no matter what the issue I would think it should not back up into your rinse tank...must be a bad check valve somewhere for that to happen. The soap should move forward when a solenoid is opened in response to receiving a signal from a relay. If that solenoid was open because the relay was stuck the soap should move forward out to the bay. My guess is you have a bad check valve between the rinse tank and the floject pump.....normally the check valve would hold pressure to keep product from flowing back....if it is bad the floject just pushes it backwards and would keep pumping. Not sure exactly how yours is plumbed but that is the only thing I can think of at the moment...hope that helps.
