Coleman timers ct 2040 vs ct 2050

I have the 2040 in the frag vacs and the 2050 in the shampoo/vac -- anyone know what the difference is in the two? I've got a spare 2040 I'd like to use in the shampoo/vac (2050 just went out) if it'd work. I'm also changing to the Dixmor timers -- anyone use the led-6 timer for the shampoo/vac with success?

There is a previous thread on this. I tried using a Dixmor LED 6 with a Coleman combo vac and had trouble with the toggle functions. It might have been because I had a PCB borad and a Swipe N Clean. Dixmor and I tried to troubleshoot but I ended up sending it back because it was problematic.

Wanted to update ... the Dixmor timer worked perfect in the Coleman Shampoo/vac -- just plugged it in. Very impressed with the LED readout, very bright..
