cold water rinse

I have a bay that is already set up for cold water rinse. I'm trying to convert my other bay to cold water rinse. I already have the plumbing and cold water solenoid rinse setup. I already have the cold water rinse wire running from my control panel above my pumps running out to the bay. I connected it to the rinse part on the front deck of the rotary switch but its still sucking from my hot water tank. Could my solenoid be bad?

Did you check for voltage at the solenoid? If there is voltage you can take the outlet hose off the solenoid and turn on the bay. Be sure to divert the water so that it doesn't soak everything down.

Is the solenoid sized properly for the flow needed to supply the pump and bypass the hot water? Is the solenoid connected to water at city pressure?
