Cleveland Float Valves

Are there any common failure points on the Cleveland Float Valves other than the diaphragm? I've had 2 fail, 1 I replaced the other I attempted to rebuild. The rebuilt one won't completely shut off.

Are there any tricks to rebuilding them?

Yes, the one I rebuilt is that style.

Tpoppa, there is a small diaphragm on the outlet side of the valve where the float operates. Also, make sure the diaphragms are facing the right way & not installed backwards.
