Chemicals

I am new to this site and would love to get input on the chemicals you are using - what you like, what you don't like, what you need, but aren't getting. I would love to hear what you think! ;)

NewGal,

Well I don't really like the Pet Conditioner from Kleenrite...it tends to separate and clog the take-up hose and screen.

So...you can see that your question is so open ended that we cannot begin to provide an answer. What are you looking for exactly? Touchless, conveyor, detailing, self-serve, vac shampoos, fragrances, pet chemicals, etc....

Also, I know you are new, so I won't blast you, but chemicals have been discussed on this forum at lengths many times...so try the search function first and you'll discover who is who and what is what.

Welcome to the site. I use Warsaw chemicals exclusively in my automatics and self serve. Are they the best? I don't really know, but they are very good and I have tried several others. Cost is hard to beat also. There should be a distributor in your area and if there is not, call Warsaw chemical direct. (Warsaw, Indiana). Good luck.

I use Warsaw on everything except my touchfree automatic presoak, which is Hobo 2-part powder/liquid. Seem to be getting black cars cleaner with the Hobo.

I use black cars as my gage as to how well my chems are working. I have a few customers who have black vehicles who I give a free wash once in awhile and ask them to report back to me if it didn't get clean. They seem to appreciate that I want to make sure they get a good wash.

Red,

What's your titration say? The two part you don't mean 2 step (acid Alkaline) correct?

NewGal,

So you're looking for touchless IBA chems? Your short "thanks" messages do not provide any info. Selecting the right chems is only part of the cleaning process. Other issues such as water quality, application, dwell and your local environment plays a very big part in properly washing cars. What is true in Florida will not be as relevant in Alaska.

You don't have to provide more info, but then you'll not get good info back. You'll always get some saying brand A is better than brand B or powder is better than liquid. But the reality is that most manufacturers make a wide range of products for a wide range of soils. So where you live, the soils you see have more to do with cleaning than what brand. For me, I use different soaps/brands in winter than in summer and the machine setup is completely different. My top wash is 5 minutes in the winter and 6.5 minutes in the summer!

Yes and yes. I use 2 step: 1 Hobo, 2 Warsaw Lemon Elixir. And the Hobo is 1 jug powder + 1 jug liquid. I forget the titrtation just now, still have the 34 drops with Warsaw on the brain.
